Program Eligibility

-Must have owned home for at least one year

-Homeowner must be current on mortgage, ground lease (if applicable) and property taxes;

-Homeowner may not have any other property liens from other affordable housing home repair programs; and

-Must not be a pre-existing condition.

 

Other eligibility requirements may be obtained by contacting the Community Land Trust of Schenectady, Inc.

 

Required Documentation

To ensure that each emergency is handled in a prompt manner the following documentation will be required within five days of initial request for funds:

· Copy of Property Deed

· Verification that mortgage and taxes are current

· Copy of Homeowner’s Insurance Binder or Policy

· Copy of valid Photo Identification

· Past Year Federal Tax Return with W2’s

· Last 4 most recent pay stubs with YTD details

· Last three month’s bank statements for checking and savings account(s)

· Copy of Code Violation Notice, if applicable.

 

Other documentation may be requested at any time through the approval process by the Land Trust.
