City of Schenectady  SENIOR Homeowners:

GRANT MONEY AVAILABLE

Up to $7,500

The Community Land Trust of Schenectady is pleased to announce that it still has RESTORE grant funding for residents who are 60 years of age or older, own & occupy a 1-4 unit property within the City of Schenectady and are in need of an emergency home repair .

Maximum grant is $7,500*.

Other requirements:

• Must be current on mortgage

• Must be current on property taxes

• Must be current on homeowners insurance

• Must be below 80% of median household income (see chart)

• For emergency repair purposes only.  Remodeling, rehab and preexisting conditions do not qualify under this program.

• Work to be done on owner occupied unit only when dealing with multi-family dwellings.

• There will be a three year lien placed on your home

Delivery of grant funding is time sensitive since it is based on an emergency situations and first come first served while funding is still available.

Pre-qualification can be determined by contacting our office at 372-7616. All applications and documentation must be submitted for verification of program eligibility. All requirements must be met prior to final approval of grant award.

*Amount awarded is based on the lowest bid submitted by our current list of pre-approved contractors.
